The Waggon & Horses are bringing the mussel!
Mussels Week is coming to The Waggon & Horses and no – it isn’t a week-long event where the staff get to flex their muscles (sorry Miles!). In fact, the foodie event will see our talented chefs create dishes using the finest Scottish mussels.
From 16th – 22nd September, you can book to dine from our Mussels Week specials menu and we’ve got some real treats in store for you! You can either choose from mussels as a starter or main with any of the following sauces to accompany:
· Thai style - fresh lemon grass, lime leaf, chili, garlic, spring onion, coriander, mint and coconut milk
Smooth coconut milk with powerful aromatic flavours and fiery chili.
· Cozze picante - pancetta, red wine, fresh tomatoes, chili and fresh parsley
A rich tomato sauce with salty pancetta to complement.
· Moules marinière - shallots, garlic, white wine, fresh parsley and cream.
An absolute classic; a deliciously indulgent dish for mussels.
All mussels dishes are served with crusty bread, perfect for mopping up your sauce, or upgrade to a main to get chips and salad as well.
